Just another day at a beach,
sand filling the crevices
made by his hand when he clenches his fist.
Just another day at the beach,
ruined by foul weather,
a sky clouded over.
They went by boat to the beach,
seasickness engulfing many.
With friends and brothers they all
were together at the beach.
They played with their expensive toys,
shouted out words of encouragement to each other.
They walked on the beach
as bullets tore through the ranks
of the Allied Forces.
