Look into my eyes,
peer into the depths of my soul.
Unearth the secrets held
behind strong locked doors,
which were never meant to be known.
Peel off your mask,
try your best to lay all bare.
I know nakedness can be scary,
especially when the spots where
scars are revealed, are still tender.
The marks carved into your face,
your legs, your arms, your torso,
your soul, your mind, your heart.
When you reveal your bare face,
which is fucked up its own distinct ways,
don’t be afraid of the reflection in my eyes.
A nightmare and a pleasant dream,
a cacophonous silence and a noiseless scream,
all the light and darkness inside,
there is no more reason to hide.
